For as long as Zen can remember, survival has meant staying hidden. Deep within the ruins of the world destroyed by mankind, Zen lives in secret with his family of renegade droids. Built in the shapes of animals and humans, they serve as the only remembrance of the before time, forbidden vestiges of a past that the powerful Midion army wants erased forever.
Zen wants only one thing: to keep his family safe, but when the Midions discover their secret hiding place, everything changes. Forced from the only home he has ever known, Zen is drawn into a dangerous world of strange mechanical creatures, forgotten lands, Magical spirits, and secrets buried since the fall of mankind. With enemies closing in and those he loves in danger, he must summon the courage to face a battle he never wanted to fight.
And somewhere within, something is ready to be awakened.
